Ren Ichinose (一ノ瀬 蓮 Ichinose Ren), also known simply as Ren (レン) is a son of Nana Komatsu and Takumi Ichinose, although it is not made clear who is his biological father. He is close to his father, Takumi, and currently lives with him in London, England.
He bears a similar resemblance to his mother, and has inherited his namesake's, Ren Honjo's, talent for the guitar. Reira Serizawa is particularly close to Ren and will only sing, when he is playing.
Biography[]
While Nana Komatsu is pregnant with Ren, she thinks he's a girl, thus nicknaming the child "Sachi", but Ren Honjo offers the name Satsuki which is given to Takumi and Nana's second child. Ren was named after Ren Honjo, the lead guitarist of Trapnest and previous bassist of Blast. Ren is often mistaken by readers to be the second child as while still an unborn child he was referred to as a girl, but he is Nana and Takumi's first child.
Physical appearance[]
Ren's appearance is very similar to Nana's which causes speculation whether Ren really is Nobu's child, since Satsuki resembles Takumi without question.
Personality and traits[]
He acts more grown up than his age. Naoki commented that he probably has a high IQ.
Etymology[]
- The name 'Ren' means 'lotus' (蓮)
- Ren's surname Ichinose means "one" (一) (ichi) and "swift current, rapids" (瀬) (se).
